Voter Registration

Grassroots community organizations shoulder much of the work it takes to reach underrepresented people, ensure that all of us have the opportunity to vote, and provide those who cannot vote with other ways to influence the policies that impact their daily lives. We unite these pro-democracy forces through coordinated voter engagement strategies, and coalition building, as anchor partners of of the Shelby County Voter Alliance.

Voter Education

We connect underrepresented communities with the democratic process through increasing convenience, access to information, and direct conversations with trusted messengers, to find the cultural relevance of civic life for everyone (not just voters) and making each interaction with a potential voter more meaningful, memorable, and trustworthy.

Voter Turnout

The 2023 Memphis Municipal elections historically bring only about 20% of voters to the polls. With so many candidates, so little attention from the media, and new City Council district lines, it can feel overwhelming to get informed and cast our votes with confidence. We spend meaningful time with working people, through deep canvassing and listening, to ensure that everyone has the information and support they need to participate in our democracy, and that each vote is counted.
